I have been working with clients for over 13 years and now work solely in private practice as a therapist, supervisor & trainer.

Until recently, I was also a therapist and supervisor for a low-cost counselling charity in South London, and involved with teaching all levels of counselling training, including Diploma level.

Other past therapeutic work includes working as an NHS counsellor for a local GP surgery in South London and as therapist within an NHS adult weight management service where I gained specialist training & experience working with emotional eating, over-eating & binge eating issues. Some of my private work is with clients who want to understand and address the emotional issues that underpin their struggle with their weight, help them psychologically prepare for bariatric surgery or help those who have started to sabotage their existing bariatric surgery.

Prior to life as a therapist, I worked as a business analyst & trainer where I developed & facilitated training for individuals & groups.

I also have experience of extensive personal therapy and continue this to support myself in my therapy practice. I understand how hard it can be to come to therapy and start exploring difficult & painful feelings. And I appreciate how vulnerable this may make you feel which is why it is important that you & I build a relationship in which you feel safe & supported.

As a  Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) I work within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I am fully insured, registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), have on-going clinical supervision and regularly attend courses, read & research to enhance my knowledge and professionalism.

I am a member of The Bowlby Centre in London, and currently preparing to register as an Attachment-based psychoanalytical psychotherapist (through the The Bowlby Centre), with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis College (CPJA).

“When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write a brave new ending… I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do”
